Miken Freak 23 ASA Reviews

This bat lives up to its name…it’s a FREAK. I’ve been smoking balls over 400 feet with this bat!! Absolute madness. I’ve never been able to hit balls as far as with this bat. Easily clearing the fence, and blowing people away in competitive play. You can really feel the end-load in this bat, which I really love. I’d definitely recommend this bat. It’s cranked up my skills to 11 on the field.”
Ryan L

“Hot, hot, hot out of the wrapper. Hitting even better as I continue to cut balls. I finally know what all the fuss about end-loaded bats are. You can really feel the extra mass when you swing, which takes a second to get used to, but lets you hit with waaay more power. So far I’ve really been loving this bat. I’ve been hitting the ball further than any other bat I’ve used in the past, and would definitely go for the same style of power-hitting bat in the future. Worth the money to see the ball take flight like that. It also looks super cool, which is always a plus!”

Miken Freak Black USSSA Reviews

“When they talk about hot out of the wrapper, this bat is what they’re referring to. I was never even close to hitting balls to the fence line. Now, I’m regularly hitting balls right over the fence. The difference is crazy. This is a powerful bat, and the end-loaded tech on it makes it super fast.  It’s got a great big sweet spot, and is fun as hell to use. Mainly because it’s improved my performance so much for doing nothing but buying a better bat lol. I’d recommend this to anyone playing competitively who wants to play at the top of their game.”
A.J.

“The balance on this bat is fantastic. I didn’t think it would be super balanced and easy to use due to the extra 0.5 ounces on the end, which ultimately makes it a power hitter’s bat. But as an aspiring power hitter who still needs something easy to control, this bat worked like a charm! Pretty hot out of the wrapper too, although you’re going to want to take 50 – 100 swings before bringing it on the field to compete. Shipping worked perfectly too, no hassle. I’d recommend this bat to other players like me… who are looking to fast track a bit to the big, power hits.”

Despite its heavy end-load, this bat has a notably balanced feel and is easy to control through the zone.

Easton Fire Flex Reviews

“I really loved this bat. It looks as good as it plays, and sounds incredible too, giving the perfect crack upon impact. No more hand sting with this bat! And it did play nicely out of the rapper. I’ve so far been able to get better pop off this bat—which has a massive sweet spot—than any of the other bats I’ve played with previously. I found it really comfortable to hold and easy to handle. It seems super sturdy, and I’m not afraid to really swing at the ball. It stays very solid upon impact, and I think this bat will keep for at least a few seasons. I would recommend buying this bat, or any of the Fire Flex series bats!”
Leighton Steele.

“While I know that even the most “hot out of the rapper” bats are still best after being warmed up, I just want to say that this bat, as is always the case, will preform better after 150 hits. After breaking it in, this bat performs just as well as the two-piece Psycho model that came out last year. It’s true that the barrel on this bat is super nice, with a strong flex on connection. Most of my team now plays with this bat, after seeing it perform. I also love the fact that unlike many other brands, Easton’s handles tend to hold up long after other bats would become shredded. Overall I’ve gotta recommend this bat! Happy swinging.”

Miken Freak Maxload Reviews

“Hot out of the wrapper and the pop on this bat is INSANE. Believe the hype. This bat performs, like the name says, freakishly well. I haven’t even broken this bat in yet and already the difference in my game is crazy. I love the weighting on this bat, and find it really easy to hit consistently long balls. Can’t recommend this bat enough!”
Jules Westborrow

“So far this bat has been absolutely crushing softballs for me. I’ve been smokin’ em to the fence line or past on almost every hit. This bat was worth every single penny. It’s hot out of the wrapper, and I love the 14 inch length on this bat. This is one of the best—if not the best —bat you can play with if you’re playing slowpitch in the ASA. Don’t stunt your potential. Trust me. You’re going to want to play with this bat. If you like winning that is lol.”

DeMarini ONE OG Reviews

“I was trying to choose between buying the Flipper and this bat. In the end I went with this bat, the ONE OG, and BOY am I happy that I made that decision. This bat offers really easy control and a great feel. It hits powerfully and sounds great upon ball impact. I even hit a Homer the first time I got out on the field during gameplay and took a swing! I will advise that this bat requires about 150 hits during practice to really break it in, so get out there and hit some balls before you bring it onto the field to play competitively. But after breaking it in, the ball hits beautifully. I also like the fact that despite being a softball bat, this bat has more of a baseball feel.”
Travis Leslie

“I’ve had an amazing season with this bat. Decided to play with it for a few months to really get the feel for it before coming back and leaving a review. Now that I’ve spent some time with this bat, I’d definitely recommend it to other players. This bat has a big sweet spot, and a powerful hit. One thing I will say is that the grip on this bat came unraveled. To solve this problem I ordered Lizard Skin bat grip. Other than that, this bat is great for driving balls in to the gaps where defence isn’t covering. Great bat overall.”

Miken Freak X Reviews

“Feels good and comes through the zone good. Probably needs a good 150 cuts to break it in. I love the look of this bat too. I think this is going to be a really good bat once it’s broken in. Definitely got that nice end-loaded feel, but isn’t too heavy, making it easy to control but still having lots of power. I’d recommend this bat if you’re looking to ramp up your power hits.”
Lindsey S

“I love this bat! I don’t have a complete handle on the heavier bats yet, but am really trying to make the transition, as I see other players on my team with heavier bats hitting absolute monster hits. It’s a bit too hard for me to hande really heavy bats yet and make consistent connection with the ball, so I wanted something to help me transition. This bat is PERFECT for that. Already I’m hitting way further than ever before, and the best part is I’m doing it consistently. Go and buy this bat if you’re looking to wade into power hitter territory!”

The Miken Freak Hybrid Reviews

“Bought this bat so I could crush balls in my slowpitch league and blow everyone away. I like that it has the heavier end-cap, and you can definitely feel that weight in the balance of the bat. This has helped me hit harder and further. Overall it’s a solid bat. I’m happy with my purchase.”
Leonard R

“Takes some breaking in but a powerful bat that feels built to last. I’ve enjoyed hitting with this bat. I’ve been hitting far balls with it, and the sweet spot is nice and responsive. It also looks super cool. I love the colours and design. I just play casually and am not too serious about softball, but this bat has definitely made me feel more like a pro. I’m stepping my game up and am not probably among the furthest hitting  few players in my slowpitch games. I’d recommend this bat to other players for sure.”

Easton Rebel Reviews

“This was the perfect bat for my league, which was a slowpitch league that doesn’t allow composite bats. This 100% aluminium alloy bat is one of the best I’ve ever used. It’s got a great big sweet spot, and I love the design. This is an agile and diverse bat that works great for single and power hitters. Most of the players on my team use this bat. Definitely worth the money. Speaking of, it comes at a great value. This bat is recommended for sure.”
Danny G

“I was surprised at the quality of the bat given the price. This is a cheap bat but it hits like a pro. I even had other people on the field giving me compliments for my bat. Would recommend this bat if you’re playing in a recreational league. If you’re playing competitively, I don’t think this bat would hold up. But if you’re looking for the best possible bat for casual, recreational play, this is it. The grip on this bat is great, and the weight is perfect. A sweet bat that gets the job done!”

Miken Freak USA Reviews

“This bat is HOT out of the wrapper. I couldn’t believe it, I literally got a home run my first hit. Next two hits after that were also huge, right to the fence line. It only improved from there with each hit I got in. This bat definitely has a distinct end-loaded swing weight, so make sure you’re used to that. And if you’re not, you should try to practice with these types of bats because their power is unmatchable. Normally the Miken bats have a 0.5 ounce end-weight, so this model is double that. In other words, this bat is a serious power house. No wonder it’s only approved for the ASA. I would highly highly recommend getting your hands on this bat.”
Earl Lockner

“This bat is definitely hot out of the wrapper and has really nice pop. Hit a home run after my first 125 hits. Would definitely recommend getting a good 100 – 150 hits on this bat before you see it truly perform. Hits like a Miken for sure. With one-ounce on the end, this bat is seriously end loaded so you can get POWER from it. Love the colour scheme. This is a bat for an experienced player who wants to up their game. Not to mention walking on the diamond with a limited edition bat is just cool lol.”

Miken Freak Primo USSSA Reviews

“This is a truly professional bat. Like recommended, I took about 150 cuts with it before it maxed in performance, but wow does this bat hit hard. The pop on this Miken is amazing, and the sweet spot is huge. I’ve definitely been hitting with consistency i’ve never seen before and attribute it to the bat. Hitting big power hits right to the fence line and beyond. I also love the more subtle black and silver colour scheme as opposed to some of the brighter more vibrant designs on the Freak series that I wasn’t a fan of. This bat is a monster—definitely worth the money!”
Rodney White

“This was my first end-loaded bat so it took a second to get used to the swing weight, but it’s all good because it’s reccomended to get out there and take 150 wacks at the ball anyways to break it in. By the end of the 150 hits the bat was hitting like a charm and I had gotten used to the swing weight. And boy am I glad I did! This bat has some serious power to it. I’ve been hitting balls crazy far with this bat. I cannot talk highly enough of this bat. Go out and buy it! It’s an absolute winner.”

DeMarini RD28 Reviews

“I have tried virtually every DeMarini bat in the game, but this bat blow’s them ALL out of the water! Was hitting home runs right out of the rapper. SUPER hot out of the rapper…huge sweet spot that’s unbelievably responsive. I have definitely hit the furthest and fastest balls of my life with this bat. They’re limited edition, so they can be hard to get, but if you ever see one for sale anywhere BUY IT. You won’t regret it. And in the very least, it’s LE so re-sale is $$$. All around, gotta hand it big time to DeMarini for this incredible piece of work.”
Allen Thompson

“This bat has unbelievable balance for the smoothest swing of my life. Best bat i’ve ever put my hands on, hands down. You can tell that DeMarini really went wild with this one, seeing as it’s a tribute bat, and limited edition. I can imagine professional players have even pulled whatever strings they could to get their hands on this bat, because nothing I’ve seen can even compare. Definitely worth the money if you can find it. If you see it for sale anywhere, even if you can’t afford it, I’d try to find a way to just test it out and give it a few swings ahahaha. This bat is like a bucket-list item.”

“Bought this bat for a singlewall league its surprised me with the pop and distance it has ive got the new demarini steel and it out performs it no lie the guys on my team put down the steel after swinging this beast lol killer deal vs the 299.99 steel only con is wish i went with a 28oz 26oz feels like a 24oz”

“This bat’s price says everything you need to know about it. It’s DeMarini, so you know it comes from a trustworthy and reliable brand, so it’s going to perform well comparitively to other bats in this pricerange. But for $60, it’s also not a pro-level bat. This is a bat to use if you’re playing in an amateur league, or with your friends, and you want a good, solid bat at an affordable price. I would recommend this product if you’re looking in this price range and trying to decide between a few different brands.”

“This bat is HOT. I didn’t have a chance to break it in before our game, but that didn’t matter. The first hit with this bat was over the fence, and that was the second home run I’ve ever hit. The rest of the game I hit rocket line drives into the outfield. It makes me smile every time I hit with this bat because it is borderline unbelievable how fast the ball flies off this bat. This is a must and I wouldn’t be surprised if there is a price jump on this bat.”
Alvin Green

“Used this bat for the first time today. Really is hot right out of the package. Has a ton of pop and flys off the bat. Definitely recommend.”

“I’ve just been loving the barrel on this bat. It swings light and smooth. This bat is amazing. The hype is real about this bat. If you;ve never swung Demarini before, I highly reccomend you get this bat. I was easily hitting balls out. This bat is an absolute monster!”

“I definitely like the tip weight rather than the balanced weight, you just have to be prepared to adjust a little bit. I love this brand, definitely worth the price tag.”
Emilee

“Great bat for the money. It passed inspection for my league and has great pop once you work it in. Sweet spot is fairly small and takes some getting used to, even compared to other end loaded bats. Other commenters have mentioned that it feels a lot heavier than similar weight bats when swinging, I agree with that. I also use an Easton end loaded 27oz and this bat feels much heavier while swinging. The grip is really thin and sucks, I wear grippy batting gloves and actually shifted the entire grip after half a season of use. I was holding aluminum in some areas before i replaced the grip with a lizard skin grip. But other than that I really like this bat.”

Louisville Slugger Z1000 Reviews

“This is THE bat to use if you’re a power hitter looking to step up your game. You should have seen the look on my teams face when I walked in with this bat for the first game and immediately knocked a ball over 300 feet! It was epic. This is definitely a bat that is best if you’re used to end-loaded bats, and hitting hard. If you’re still trying to get used to the feel of a bat and how to swing properly, you may not be able to use this bat to its full potential. This is more a bat for a somewhat experienced player looking to take their game to the next level. Like I said, this thing hits HARD. I’ve never hit as far as I have with this bat..”

“I love this bat! It’s hot just out of the wrapper, though obviously gets even better after about 50 cuts or so. I can see why Jeff Hall loves the power loaded design. I agree with other reviewers—this bat has stepped up my game in terms of my ability to send the ball into the outfield. I’ve been hitting with more power than I ever have. I also love the crack this bat makes when making contact with the ball. This Slugger has a ton of pop, and I’m overall extremely impressed by its performance. I was considering this bat or a different DeMarini bat, and after making this purchase I have no regrets and would recommend other people to buy this bat. You’ll immediately notice big gains in how far you can smoke the ball.”

Miken Envious Reviews

“Hot out of the wrapper, that just keeps improving with each swing. Feels true to weight. Your typical Miken. Hits like a Freak 23 BUT this bat does have some actual end-load to it! I was pleasantly surprised to feel the effective end-load, which I didn’t think the Freak 23 had, and which I wasn’t a fan of. The weighting on this felt almost identical as last year’s Freak 30. This is your typical Miken in terms of feel and performance. Definitely lets you get the ball as far as you want/need.”

“This was a great bat with an amazing feel. I’ve played with a few other Mikens and so far this one’s my favourite. This is mainly because of the end-load on this bat, which you can really feel, and lets you hit balls super hard. I’ve probably hit 3/4 balls with this bat to the fence, and every once and a while have even gotten over the fence, which is really fun. Super hot out of the wrapper and it just keeps getting better. If you’re getting a Miken, get this bat!”
